Felix attended and sponsored contributions for Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS) luncheon that was held on Thursday April 16 2015. 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of this luncheon and we are proud to be associated with the cause and help fund a new generation of ground-breaking researchers.
WAMS is a powerful collective of professional women dedicated to raising research funds to end MS, while also participating in exclusive networking opportunities in the GTA. Our association not only provides us an opportunity to support research in healthcare but also helps provide networking opportunities in the GTA for our customers and clients.
As of 2014, funds raised by WAMS in Ontario are directed to a three-year operating grant for a gender-based study of neuropathic pain conducted by Dr. Bradley Kerr from the University of Alberta.
Multiple sclerosis affects women three times more often than men and more than three Canadians are diagnosed every day. This staggering figure means it is crucial that women take immediate and deliberate action to end MS. WAMS hosts regular networking events as well as the annual WAMS Gala Luncheon – the program’s signature fundraising event which has raised over $2.5 Million in Canada since its inception.
