Felix 5 Year Anniversary Supporting WAMS
For five years strong, we are proud to be hosting a VIP table at the WAMS Gala Luncheon once again. WAMS, Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (MS), is a powerful collective of professional women dedicated to raising funds to end MS, while participating in exclusive networking opportunities in the GTA. Each year, WAMS honours a remarkable woman for the impact of her work in business and her community.
In April 2005, Women Against MS (WAMS) launched in Canada and this year’s event will mark their 11th Anniversary. Thanks to WAMS we have been able to fund a new generation of groundbreaking researchers as we endeavour together to end MS.
This afternoon, more than 700 guests will come together at the prestigious Royal York Hotel for an event like no other. WAMs will honour Linda Hasenfratz, CEO of Linamar Corporation. Since her tenure as CEO, Ms. Hasenfratz has grown the company from an $800 million enterprise to over $4.3 billion.
WAMS also welcomes Natalie Panek as the guest speaker. Natalie is a rocket scientist, adventurer, and advocate for women in technology. In collaboration with wams, a program has successfully been funded – a Transitional Career Development Award – a five-year grant worth $500,000 and a three-year operating grant for a gender based study of neuropathic pain.
